This course is introduced in third year. Forensic medicine includes medical ethics - principles of legal system in Pakistan, duties and responsibilities of doctors, medical aspects of law in relation to poisons; their recognition, treatment and collection of viscera and their analytical methods, Factory ACT-Workmen compensation, Social Security (industrial injuries).
It also includes medico-legal aspects of death, crimes of violence homicide, suicide, accident, firearm injuries, explosions, railway and vehicular injuries, infanticide, medico legal autopsy-exhumation, infanticide, identification problems, sexual assaults, medicofilegal aspects of pregnancy, delivery abortions, impotence, Application of Dyat and Hudood ordinance in case of Zina (adultery) and other offences of violence.
