Surgery is one of the oldest and basic specialties in medical science. There have been tremendous advancements in the techniques over the course of time. Minimal invasive surgery is the latest development which has made surgery less traumatic and has reduced morbidity and mortality and has increased the scope of surgery vastly. Department of General Surgery at Watim Medical College comprises of three Professors, one Associate Professor, One Assistant Professor and one Senior Registrar.
The department have 150 beds in hospital in addition to surgical HDU and ICU and has three well equipped operation theaters. Out patients department is manned by the consultants regularly. A wide variety of the surgical procedures of the following sub specialties are carried out in addition to General Surgery.
